My Artist Statement
Hope creates the pieces of art she creates to bring joy and experience to other people's lives. She wants others to experience the learning process that art takes us through and the want to give things a meaning Or a purpose. She wants to teach others how to put emotion into their pieces like she does with hers. Hope is drawn to painting and drawing because she feels like she can portray the most emotion out of these mediums. Hope chose the concepts she did because she feels like they portray the most effective images to draw meaning from. Hope wants people to find out that the certain colors she uses or linework that she uses has different meanings and emotions alongside the overall piece. Hope gravitates her pieces towards a cartoon/ caricatures style because it helps the younger audience find those emotions better to find the meaning behind the overall piece. Hope creates the pieces she creates to portray emotion that she might have had to suppress before in my life, that others might be suppressing so they know they are not alone.
